Breast Cancer Birds (BCB) Art Gallery”

Helps Cancer Patients

“Hope Bird” “Courage Bird” “Strength Bird” “Friendship Bird” “Faith Bird”

The kick-off event for the Newly Named “Breast Cancer Birds (BCB) Art Gallery” was held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 with an art exposition open house to the public at Gabrail Cancer Center (GCC) located at; 4875 Higbee Ave. NW, - Canton, Ohio 44718.

In the future, a variety of Art Exhibit Shows and Auctions for the public are planned. Please send your name, address and email address so you can be notified with the dates of future Shows and/or Auctions. Viewings outside the events must be by appointment only.

Jennifer Collins, Artist and Cancer Survivor, has transformed her art into a visual interpretation called “Breast Cancer Birds”. Jennifer has assembled a group of 11+ Artists that have joined the effort to help cancer patients. The Artists have displayed approximately 60+ pieces of art work so that the patients are able to enjoy many different varieties of art. The Art Gallery helps the patients put their minds in a relaxed state; appreciate the beauty around them as well as helping the patients be more comfortable during their chemo treatments. This is uplifting and truly an inspiration for the cancer patients receiving treatment. The atmosphere is inviting and brings life and positive thoughts to the “BCB Art Gallery” which inspires caregivers and those working with helping patients.

Dr. Nash Gabrail, MD (Gabrail Cancer Center), --- understands his patients’ needs. Dr. Gabrail not only treats cancer patients at his Cancer Center, he knows that the environment and atmosphere around the patients plays an important part of the patients’ progress. This Art Gallery is expected to give the patients positive attitudes which will help them during their treatment.

Phil Zampino is the President and Founder of C-PAG, Inc. (Cancer Patients Advocacy Group) and is a two time cancer survivor. C-PAG, Inc. is the authorized non-profit, tax exempt organization for which the sale of any and all art work from the “BCB Art Gallery” will be earmarked for helping those cancer patients who need assistance with non-medical expenses. A criteria has been established in order to determine eligibility for someone who applies to receive financial aid. Also the applicant must complete an application which is to be submitted to the Financial Assistance Board (FAB).
