My name is Phil Zampino (Profile of Phil Zampino) and I have cancer. I have spoken with other cancer patients about organizing a Cancer Support Group called C-PAG. This will be a Support Group operated and run by its own participants [the cancer patients, their families and caregivers]. We have a sponsor [Gabrail Cancer Center and Research] who is willing to support us by supplying us with a meeting place, some financial help and logistics.

C-PAG Mission Statement

C-PAG is a Support Group for cancer patients and survivors, caregivers and family members of those who currently have, or have had cancer in the past, and for anyone who wants to support cancer patients and their families.

C-PAG is a Support Group that will provide patients and survivors, caregivers and family members information, guidance and a better understanding of living through cancer.

C-PAG is a Support Group whose goals are to help cancer patients and survivors, caregivers and family members become better informed about their cancer and to give them the support they want and/or need.

C-PAG is a Support Group that will meet regularly and will supply a location so that cancer patients and survivors, caregivers and family members will experience fellowship, spiritual assistance and emotional support in order to help reduce stress, anxiety and fears.

C-PAG is a Support Group that through its members will offer a safe atmosphere for cancer patients and survivors, and caregivers and family members, so that they may share conversation with fellow cancer patients and their families.

C-PAG is a Support Group that complies within the meaning of an organization that is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and/or scientific purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.

C-PAG is a Support Group that utilizes public funds received to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered on behalf of it Members and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purposes set forth in the purpose clause of the organization. Notwithstanding any other provision of this document, the organization shall conduct activities only permitted to be carried on (a) by an organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code or (b) by an organization, contributions to which are deductible under section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
